APPROACH

Human Timing

A feeling that something is wrong
can simply mean a phase has not yet ended.

HUMAN TIMING

Not when. What kind.

Two people can share the same calendar year and live in entirely  different phases of life.

Chronology measures sequence.
Timing describes the structure within it.

THE PHASES OF A LIFE

Expansion - movement outward, new territory

Consolidation - deepening what exists

Disruption - structural reconfiguration

Withdrawal - inner clarification

Reinvention - a new form emerging

Clarity comes once you understand the phase you're in.

HUMAN TIMING

Life moves in phases

Modern culture expects growth to be continuous and measures progress from the outside. Setbacks are read as personal failure. But human life moves in phases. Some build. Some dissolve an old identity. Some consolidate.

A promotion, a marriage, a move: these are events. Timing is the context they happen in. The same decision taken in two different phases, can lead to very different outcomes.

HUMAN TIMING

The Blind Spot.

Psychology looks at our stories, patterns, beliefs and relationships. All of that matters. What it rarely looks at is timing.

You can understand your patterns deeply and still feel lost, because the lager cycle you´re in hasn´t been named. Human Timing adds that layer. It works alongside psychology and gives it context.

Why phases
repeat

Patterns recur because structure persists. Each cycle activates a different part of who you are. When a phase returns in a new form, it can feel like an earlier time in your life. Often that isn't because nothing has changed. It's because similar themes are active again.

Repetition is rarely punishment. More often, it is refinement.

How Jyotish reads these phases

In Jyotish, Vedic astrology, these phases have a name: Dasha. Your life runs through a sequence of planetary periods. Each Mahadasha lasts between 6 and 20 years and sets the main theme. Inside it, shorter Antardashas shift the focus every few months or years.

When you know which chapter you're in, a lot suddenly make sense: why one period asked for expansion and the next for patience, or why a strategy that worked for years stops working.

The transits of the slow planets, Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu, then show what the coming months add to that chapter.

Jyotish is the primary system in all my readings. I have worked with it for over 25 years.

HUMAN TIMING

Two cross-checks

For important questions I also look through two Chinese systems.

BaZi, the Four Pillars, maps your elemental structure and your ten-year Luck Pillars.

Zi Wei Dou Shu, the Purple Star system, shows the areas of your life and how the focus moves between them from year to year.

They come from different traditions and work in different ways. Where they agree with the Jyotish picture, you can plan with more confidence. Where they differ, I know where to look more closely.

HUMAN TIMING

Timing and Agency

Recognizing timing does not take away your agency. It refines it. Some phases invite expansion. Others call for consolidation or restraint. Working against the phase you're in often lead to exhaustion. Working with it brings coherence.

The question changes from “How do I force progress?” to "What is this phase asking of me?”

Where are you right now?

"When an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside, as fate."
